摘錄自書序 -

        人有理想,總要表現出來。實際地表現出來,真心地表現出來者,就是歷史的陳跡。虛擬地表現出來,甚至只是象徵性地表現出來者,就是美術作品。詩與畫都是美術作品,都可以把人們的理想表現出來。至於名畫家偶於名詩句中取其意而畫之,即是化詩為畫,使一美成二美也。本冊中所輯各名家之畫,其意都出於詩,是非常可貴者。茲特說明於此,即以為序。

Dense and dark forests are on both the south and north mountains; two fierce tigers patrol around the village in day time. They even occupy the path and feed themselves towards night; so scared, the deer in the mountains do not make any noise. Cubs are raised in the deep valley every year;the male and the female do not expel each other.Near their den in the valley lies a village,where they always loot the yellow calves.
